Challenge Class Descriptions

High Ropes Course: One of the newest classes at Sertoma! Challenge yourself to climb the telephone pole, 40 feet in the air and go off our zipline! Thanks to the Sertoma club for donating the high ropes course!

Agriculture Education: Learn about how plants grow, the water cycle and home gardening. You will also learn about goats and rabbits.

Swimming: During this time you will get to play fun pool games and learn to swim too. You will love spending time splashing around with your new friends and your counselors.

Team Building: Do you like a challenge? Well, you will scratch your head when you see some of the puzzles we have for you. You can only solve them with the help of your team.

Horsemanship: Riding horses is one of the most popular activities at camp. You won’t believe how well you ride by the end of the week.

Arts & Crafts: Make a gift for someone back home or create a souvenir. It doesn’t matter who you make your project for, you’ll be taking a piece of Camp Challenge home with you.

Financial Literacy: This is the most popular class of all. Will you make it rich? Be thinking about what it takes. You will get to try your hand at budgeting and running a business. It is a challenge that is fun for everyone. Keep an eye out for our guest speakers!

Computers: In addition to writing thank you letters to Camp Challenge Sponsors, we will learn how to use online college planning tools from the College Foundation of North Carolina.
