StokesCORE is a non-profit community organization based in Stokes County, North Carolina developed by dedicated volunteers, partner organizations, and a small professional staff. During its first 3 years it has provided financial and technical support to a variety of community enterprises. Originally conceived to become a community foundation, StokesCORE is currently emphasizing development of the underlying social infrastructure of is region on its path to becoming a sustainable community resource.

Forsyth Technical Community CollegeForsyth Technical Community College

Sertoma 4-H Educational Center is pleased to partner with Forsyth Technical Community College in offering fall and spring classes. Classes include Welding at the new Maintainence Bluding, HVAC and Electrical classes at the Tobacco Barn and computer based classes in the Computer classroom and 5/3 classroom. NC Banker's Association

NC Banker's AssociationThad Woodard, President of the NC Banker's Association attended camp at Vade Mecum when it was an Episcopal Church Camp. As an older adult he had a dream of sponsoring a camping program that would teach financial literacy skills. Camp Challenge, now over a decade old, provides educational classes in a fun learning environment. For more information about Camp Challenge visit their page.

Sertoma LogoCamp Sertoma Club

After camp (aka Vade Mecum Springs) was an episcoal church camp, it was a camp for deaf and hard of hearing children owned by two local Winston-Salem Sertoma Clubs. They sold the land to 4-H in the 80's but have kept an interest throughout. Deaf Camp has been in operation for over 30 years at Camp Sertoma. Twice a year the Camp Sertoma Club meets at Sertoma 4-H Educational Center and has their club meetings during fun and work weekends.For more information on this one week camp please visit the deaf camp page.
