Tailor a program to meet your special needs One of the ways in which 4-H broadens the reach of it's research-based, learn-by-doing programs is by making Sertoma 4-H Center available to families and groups. Meeting the needs of children and families through arts-related programs and outdoor recreation are the center's specialty, but we would be glad to help you put together other programs that would make your stay meaningful. To use the center, simply call or email the center director who will work with you to confirm your reservations and helping custom-design a stay that will meet your needs. When you leave, we hope you will have been refreshed and uplifted by the beautiful vistas and the exciting programs that our center has to offer. The center offers retreat programming for families as well as church, civic, professional or youth groups. Tent camping, cabin camping and residential living are offered in an exciting and safe environment that makes learning fun. At Sertoma, you can ride horses, go canoeing on the beautiful Dan River, swim in the camp pool, hike on gorgeous mountain trails, go on supervised cliff climbs and challenge yourself on the ropes courses. You can build new skills, collect memories, join friends around the campfire and share the joy of listening to stories spun in the moonlight. You will also find time to just sit, rock and relax on the front porch of the old hotel.
